Advanced Share-based Calculations

With 25.1.0, qashqade introduces Share-Based Waterfall calculations, a powerful new capability that supports open-ended funds and tranche-level closed-ended structures. Now, waterfall tranches can be configured at the investment or share level, using date-based or trigger-based logic.

• Each contribution becomes its own economic unit with a dedicated waterfall.
  
• Distributions and carry allocations reflect real investment terms without manual adjustments.
• Native support enhances accuracy, transparency, and auditability while reducing complexity for fund managers, administrators, and finance teams.

Capital Allocation Management

Capital events such as issuances and transfers of shares are now managed through dedicated event screens, providing greater clarity and control. Results can be published directly to the stakeholder portal for enhanced transparency.

Issuance Events

Users are able to record if any new shares were issued - one example would be due to a capital increase.

Transfer Events

This allows shares to be transferred from one partner to another. It also covers shares being bought back by the company

Stronger Event Governance & Controls

The Events module has been enhanced to allow for better user experience and operational confidence:

• Users can attach supporting documents directly to events
  
• Administrators can define approvers and automate approval reminders
• Users have more powerful filtering options
  

Enhanced GP Carry & Vesting Flexibility

Enhancements have been introduced to increase transparency and flexibility for GP carry management:

• Users are able to create forfeitures as percentages of the available vested or unvested points.
  
• Visibility of full vesting schedules across specific vesting tranches on both event and partner screens.
• Ability to use continuous vesting options when defining incentive structures.
  

Expanded Data Load Capabilities

To simplify onboarding and administration, the following new load options have been introduced:

• Partner Groups can now be created and maintained in bulk.
  
• Vehicle Assocations can be loaded in bulk - allows efficient setup and management of economic relationships between vehicles and associations.
