Behind the Waterfall: Felipe Wetter

In this article

As part of our new content series “Behind the Waterfall” we shine a light on our team at qashqade, building the future of private markets. Next up: Felipe Wetter, Manager – Services for Private Markets.

What brought you to qashqade?

When I moved to Switzerland, my goal was to join a leading company in the private markets industry. That ambition, combined with my entrepreneurial background abroad, led me to qashqade. It offers a fast-paced startup environment focused on bringing efficiency to complex processes, while allowing close collaboration with major industry players and the chance to learn from experts in waterfall calculations and private market compensation.

What makes qashqade special in your eyes?

The technology at qashqade is truly impressive. We can replicate 99.99 percent of the logic found in LPAs across the market, and I am proud to contribute to the continuous improvement of the platform. It is remarkable how complex allocation rules and waterfall distributions can be configured, especially when compared to the legacy tools many clients relied on to manage their funds and ensure accurate allocations to their LPs.

Why private markets? What initially sparked your interest in the industry?

Working in private markets means navigating complex deals and operations that influence investment decisions across industries worldwide. Collaborating closely with experts in the field allows me to stay connected to a strong value creation chain.

What trends are you seeing in your area of work?

Software integration has become a critical component of streamlining private market processes, and I believe qashqade is well positioned with a valuable solution to support that transformation.

What’s something exciting happening at qashqade right now?

qashqade has been enhancing the platform across the board, but for me, the most groundbreaking development is what’s coming next to support our GP carry clients.
